What is the Nature of this Class Action?
As the Defendants have no fix for the defect, they have instructed owners of the Vehicles to not plug in the Vehicles as fully charging the high-voltage hybrid batteries may increase the risk of power loss and fire. As a result, owners of the Vehicles have spent significantly more money on gasoline than they would if they were able to charge their Vehicles since receiving the recall notice in June 2023.
Who is Included?
“Class Members” are proposed to include all persons in Canada, except for Excluded Persons, who own, owned, lease or leased a model years 2019-2020 Ford Fusion Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle.
